真の裸とは、皮膚をも脱いだ状態ではないかと考えています。
本シリーズに登場する赤い人には、皮膚や体毛などの表層、自身の内部と外部を隔てる「最後の砦」がありません。人は、その表層を見てあなたを「あなた」と認識しているのだと思います。
この個人性を取り除くことで、何者でもない人の姿を映し出したいと考えました。
「Beyond the Skin 」は、直訳すると「皮膚を超えて」という意味です。
この赤い人は、皮膚を超えてその奥の、人という生き物であるほかの何者でもありません。

I believe that true nudity is a state in which the skin is also shed.

The red person in this series does not have a surface layer such as skin or body hair, the “last bastion” that separates the inside from the outside. I believe that people recognize you as “you” by looking at that surface layer.

By removing this individuality, I wanted to project the image of a person who is no one.

Beyond the Skin” translates directly to ”beyond the skin.

This red person is nothing other than a living being, a person, beyond the skin and beyond.
